I had never been before but was welcomed like a local. It's definitely the most welcoming pub in Marple Bridge. Two Robinson's real ales on the bar and both were very well kept.

An excellent old school drinking pub, with a great selection of beers, wines and spirits. It has a pool table and plenty of space to sit and chat to your friends or the lovely, friendly locals; who have bags of charm and character. The pub is really well run by Jo and her husband and they even have an authentic Italian pizza oven outside, ran by Mark, a foodie whose Maltese Mother taught him his love for Italian food... the Diavola Pizza I had was sooo fresh; Buffalo Mozzarella, Nduja and Calabrian Sausage, hand-stretched and homemade dough, topped with fresh basil, a sprinkle of parmesan shavings and a drizzle of chilli oil. What a lovely place for a quick beer or a full-on session. Their Quiz night is due to switch Tuesday nights (from Thursdays) in the new year and I hope to pay them a visit again soon to try my luck in 2023 👌🏼

A decent pub that has a good crowd frequenting it. I went to see a band that were playing there. The atmosphere was really good. I'm not sure about in house food but there always seems to be a visiting mobile food outlet. Pizzas, burgers, curry. It was curry night when I went and it was decent food.
